Luis Villaseñor, acting director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Promotion and Advertising Trust, reported that for the summer season, 40% of hotel occupancy is reserved for the entire inventory; weekdays and weekends up to 50%

However, the State Government Health Board has already been asked to increase the occupancy percentage to 70% for vacations.

“There is already the request for the Board of Health to be increased to 70%. It is not yet official, but it is looking to increase it, we are in a green light and we are advancing vaccination, the hospital capacity provides the conditions so that an increase can be managed. In addition, the commercial demand is taking place ”.

He said that national and international tourism is also expected since Puerto Vallarta is one of the preferred destinations to visit this coming summer.

“Without a doubt we will be able to reach sixty and if they allow us to be at 70% we would also be reaching the percentage, and here we depend on being given a vote of confidence by the health table since the providers of the tourist industry have been complying with the protocols ”.

On the other hand, the general director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, Marc Murphy, had also announced that it is planned for Bahía de Banderas to reach the limit allowed by state authorities, which is 70%. in hotel occupancy for the summer.
