The local currency lost ground like other emerging currencies as the dollar advanced.

The price of the dollar today, Monday, May 24, 2021, is quoted at $ 19.95 Mexican pesos according to the Investing.com platform. This represents a gain for the dollar of 0.15% compared to the last day.

The dollar remained near its lowest level in three months in the face of the euro’s resurgence, and traders reduced previous bets that the Federal Reserve could act soon to reduce its stimulus, although markets were not entirely convinced that higher inflation in the United States is transitory.

In relation to the profitability of the last seven days, the US dollar accumulates a decrease of 0.57%, therefore for a year it has still accumulated a decrease of 11.87%.

In the last year, the US dollar has reached a maximum of 21.52 Mexican pesos, while its lowest level has been 19.60 Mexican pesos.

Exchange rate

Regarding the exchange rate in the different banks in Mexico and government institutions, the price of the dollar reaches its lowest level on sale with $ 19.9510 on the SAT and the highest at $ 20.80 on Scotiabank, while the lowest on purchase it is at $ 18.20 Scotiabank and the highest at $ 19.9640 at Banxico Interbancario.

Regarding the euro , it is priced at $ 24.31 pesos, for $ 28.24 pesos of the pound sterling in general average.
