The President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador acknowledged that there are states where the presence of the organized crime does not generate violence.
In the presentation of the criminal report for April, the head of the Executive said that, although there is a relationship between violence and the presence of organized crime, there are entities where that rule is broken.
“There are cases where it is not necessarily so, that there is organized crime and there are few homicides, even with the presence of organized crime, Durango, there is organized crime, Sinaloa,” said López Obrador.
The homicide report indicates that this crime has not increased, however, it does not register a pronounced decrease, despite the deployment of 85 thousand elements of the National Guard in 209 barracks distributed in the country.
“There we have decreased very little. The trend, look how it was going (points to the graphs), there very little. But the same trend did not continue when we took over the government and we hope to continue decreasing this crime, which is closely linked to organized crime,” López Obrador acknowledged.
He insisted that the states with the highest number of murders are associated with entities that register organized crime activity .
“Guanajuato, Baja California, Jalisco, Michoacán, the State of Mexico and Chihuahua. It is associated with organized crime,” he insisted.
On Friday, the president supervised the construction of the Felipe Ángeles Airport, in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico.
