Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The president of the Economic Development Council of Sinaloa in the southern zone, Alfredo Ruelas Solís, applauded and welcomed the announcement that has been made for the month of September on the start of construction of the Mazatlán-Durango train.

“With the representation of Codesin, I can affirm that, for us, like this body that is established for the economic development of all Sinaloa and in the specific case what corresponds as president of the regional committee for economic promotion in the southern zone, we see It is with great sympathy and optimism that a group of investors has set their sights on southern Sinaloa with this intention of investing in the railroad area, ”he declared.

Ruelas Solís, said that it is very important to create an infrastructure that will complement the highway that already communicates with the axis of the TE-MEC corridor, which is why it is very important since the Mazatlán-Durango highway is being used a lot to the transport of tourism and with a railroad, the traffic of trucks with heavy loads and with it their deterioration would be avoided.

“So, it is very important to support or contribute to this strategic investment plan that this group brings that has communicated to us through the (communication) media and by the State Government itself, to support it as an organism that it is my turn to represent. in the south of Sinaloa, to support them in their negotiations ”, he reiterated.

The state official stressed that with the completion of the Mazatlán-Durango train, the port would take off in the industrialization strategy and that it is intended to soon become a reality in southern Sinaloa, because together with the construction of the dams in this part of Sinaloa, they will generate benefits in terms of added value to agricultural and fruit production.
