HBO Max will arrive in Mexico sometime in June to compete against Netflix and Disney + for the streaming market. Now the company revealed that it is already working on original productions that will be exclusive and will be part of the Max Originals brand.
The company plans to develop more than 100 local content, of which 33 are already in production. All productions will be created in Latin America for the next two years.

Among the first confirmed series that will be released during 2021, three stand out:
Bilardo, the soccer doctor (Argentina)
Documentary series of four episodes that will feature the testimony of the most important figures in Argentina and football itself.
Frankelda’s Hidden Frights (Mexico)
An anthology of stop-motion horror stories for children created by Cinema Fantasma, a studio specialized and recognized in this technique, which will take us to the darkest secrets of Frankelda and her book, her faithful companion, where there will be intense and funny stories in where not everything is what it seems.
Bunker
The company mentioned that they will be productions ranging from fiction series, films, documentaries, specials and reality shows. The other confirmed productions are:
- Bunker (Mexico) – Action Comedy
- Amarres (Mexico) – Contemporary romantic and family drama
- Days of roosters (Argentina) – Youth and musical drama
- The absent (Brazil) – Dramatic series
Roosters day
HBO Max in Mexico and Latin America will be the new home of content from HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Turner Classic Movies, among others. It is expected to know its exact launch date and price in the coming weeks.
