Mexico will receive 3,310,840 doses of anti-Covid vaccines between April 28 and 30, according to Deputy Health Minister Hugo Lopez-Gatell.

“There are 2,10,840 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines coming from the United States in three shipments: 487,500 on Wednesday; 585,000 on Thursday and 938,940, on Friday April 30th. In addition, 800,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine will arrive in Mexico on Wednesday, April 28, and another half a million doses of the Russian biological will be delivered on Friday, April 30.

“We have the state distribution, we will be using the strategy already proven in proportional distribution and prioritizing municipalities based on suppliers, mortality rates and concurrent and parallel progress in urban and rural municipalities,” the official added.

The President stressed that progress can be made in the national vaccination plan due to the fact that vaccines have been acquired over time. “We established contacts with laboratories that were testing vaccines, we entered into communication with them and began to establish contracts, deliver advances and the governments of Russia, China, India, the United States have helped us a lot. So they have allowed us to have a supply of vaccines,” he declared.
