The Covid vaccination campaign for the educational sector of Nuevo León started on the morning of Tuesday, April 27th, in an orderly manner and 30 minutes in advance at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (FIME) of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL).
With the presence of the State Secretary of Health, Manuel de la O Cavazos, the beginning of the application of the vaccine took place at the FIME Sports Center from 7:30 a.m. in this place that, due to its capacity, was designated to receive the administrative staff of the State Secretary of Education, to the personnel of nurseries and initial education.
The vaccination campaign will last for nine days in the state, and will end until May 5.
During this period, the objective is that more than 128 thousand education professionals receive the vaccine from the CanSino laboratory, which has the advantage that it only requires the application of one dose, that its conservation is at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, and that it has already been tested in the state within the phase 3 research protocol that was carried out at the Monterrey Metropolitan Hospital.
During the first day, the inoculation was applied only to administrative personnel of the State Secretariat of Education and to personnel who work in nurseries and initial education.
And from April 28th on, the vaccination of the sector, in general, is contemplated in nine points, and following the strategy of the surname alphabetical order to define the day of application.
Among the 9 vaccination centers, the one located in FIME is where the personnel of San Nicolás de Los Garza, Guadalupe, Santiago, San Pedro, and Santa Catarina will be received. At the Borregos stadium, of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the teachers and staff of the state capital will be attended.
