This given the risk of contagion of COVID-19 that prevails in the state, which is why the specific technical guidelines for the reopening of commercial activity in the Municipality of Oaxaca de Juárez were also reformed.
It should be remembered that at the beginning of the health contingency due to COVID-19, outdoor events were suspended in the Oaxacan capital since they represent a risk due to crowds.
In addition to this decision, during the extraordinary session of the Cabildo on Friday, April 16, the modification of the economic activity reopening scheme was approved due to the level of epidemiological risk and other municipal regulations.
This despite the fact that in July 2020 this scheme was presented in which it indicates that, when going to the green traffic light, commercial activities would work normally.
Among the approved changes, it is pointed out that the capacity in all establishments, whether for the sale of food, alcoholic beverages, recreation, lodging services, self-service stores, and entertainment centers, will be a maximum of 80 percent.
Likewise, the agreement indicates that private sector schools of all levels may operate under the provisions issued by the competent authorities.
In the case of commerce on public roads, street markets, and open-air festivals, due to the level of epidemiological risk, they must also work with a maximum capacity of 80 percent, in addition to maintaining the use of face masks and/or masks, having alcohol at each stand 70 percent gel or soap and water, although they may operate during the hours established in the permit.
The capital municipality reported that with regard to festivals or festivities, groups or organizations that process their permit with the Oaxaca de Juárez City Council will be able to carry out the activity and must install sanitary filters with entry and exit signs.
Regarding the reopening scheme for the performance of shows and entertainment, it is established that -with a green traffic light- sporting events, cultural events, shows (concerts, mass dances and similar events), exhibitions, kermeses and the like have a capacity of 50 percent in public space activities in open places.
