Anti Covid-19 scheme will be completed at the same venues
When announcing that during the most recent vaccination day against Covid-19 in Carmen 277 older adults were immunized, Vicente Guerrero del Rivero, regional director of Federal Programs, reported that this Friday the application of second doses for this sector of the population residing in said municipality.
He recalled that in the first phase of inoculation of people over 60 years of age in Carmen, 19 thousand people were immunized, which represents -approximately- 83 percent of the estimated population.
“There was a remnant of older adults who had not received the first dose, for which it was carried out last Monday, the last day of the day: the application of 277 vaccines out of 500 that they had available, with which we estimate that it concludes vaccination of this sector of the population ”.
He stressed that this remnant was presented because some people eligible to receive the biological (due to their age range), or were outside the city, or had some disease, so they could not go to apply the vaccine.
Second doses
Asked about the application of the second dose to the elderly in the municipality, Guerrero del Rivero said that it will begin this Friday, considering the same calendar that was used on the previous occasion: “that is, people must attend the day of the week and to the hospital to which they presented themselves for the first dose ”.
He stressed that so far there have been no cases of people who have had serious reactions to the biological, but that, nevertheless, the corresponding care will be maintained.
The official said that in order to achieve a greater scope and greater comfort for the elderly, coordination of the three levels of government was achieved, which provided the facilities to achieve the objectives.
