San Miguel Totolapan, Guerrero.- The Observatory for Peace and Development of the Sierra de Guerrero reported that a criminal group kidnapped and murdered the ecologist who was part of the Community Police for the defense of the forests of the Sierra and municipal commissioner of the town of Las Conchitas, in San Miguel Totolapan, Carlos Márquez Oyorzabal.

The foregoing was denounced by members of this organization, who indicated that the victim was traveling in an ATV around 7:00 pm this Saturday, April 3rd, along with his two minor children, from the town of Linda Vista.

At the point known as Agua Escondida, they were intercepted by armed subjects of a criminal group who were aboard at least three trucks, depriving them of their freedom and taking them to the Comisaría Ejidal de la Ciénega in Puerto Alegre.

It was reported that the municipal commissioner of the town of Las Conchita was tortured and killed. His remains were left by the facilities of the Ciénega de Puerto Alegre police station.
