Canelo Alvarez has his Hollywood handprints taken for the Walk of Fame

2039

Boxer Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has already made so much history with his fists and now his hands will be immortal as he has had his prints taken for the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre.

He joins various music and movie stars, and the ceremony was significantly covered by local media.

It was a special day for the Mexican boxer, who’ll now turn his attention to his upcoming fight against Billy Joe Saunders on May 8 at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. There, he’ll put his 54-1-2 record on the line.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez is the latest star to receive one of Hollywood’s oldest honors.

The world champion boxer placed his hands and feet in cement outside the historic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, in a tradition dating back to 1927.

The honor is usually reserved for Hollywood actors and Mexican Alvarez joins other big names including Robert De Niro, Kirk Douglas and Al Pacino in cementing his place at one of the most popular tourist attractions in Los Angeles.
