Governor of Colima tests positive for Covid for the second time in three months

Colima, Mexico (March 28, 2021).- For the second time, the governor of Colima, José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez, tested positive for covid-19; the first was three months ago.

For the second time, the governor of Colima, José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez, tested positive for covid-19. Just three months ago he had contracted the disease for the first time.

Through his social networks, Nacho Peralta published a text explaining that “I have Covid-19 again.”

Having acquired the disease for the second time, the Governor of Colima stated that “no one is exempt from the possibility of reinfection, so all of us must redouble health measures.”

As in the first occasion last December, the infection was not so aggressive: ”Fortunately, I do not present serious symptoms, so although I will be isolated and following medical recommendations, I will also be very aware of my responsibilities at the head of the State Government ”.

Due to medical recommendations, the 50-year-old governor will maintain rest, since unlike the first time, he did not present symptoms.

José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez posted the following on his social netwroks: “I am a man of faith and I know that I will soon come out of this disease, and we will move forward.”
