The Mayors of Zihuatanejo and Taxco denounced for improper use of public resources

Guerrero.- The Mayors of Zihuatanejo and Taxco de Alarcón, Jorge Sánchez Allec (PRI) and Marcos Efrén Parra Gómez (PAN), respectively, were reported to the Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute (IEPC) for alleged misuse of public resources and personalized promotion.

In today’s session of the General Council, the report on the procedural status of the complaints and denunciations filed with the Coordination of Electoral Litigation of the IEPC was given under the modality of ordinary sanctioning and special sanctioning procedures.

The complaint against the mayor of Zihuatanejo who is seeking re-election was filed by the Encuentro Solidario Party, who accuses him of improper use of public resources and personalized promotion.

The complaint was filed on March 3 and the file was filed under the modality of the Special Penalty Procedure. The case is in the process of preliminary investigation proceedings.

The complaint against the municipal president of Taxco was filed by the PT for the misuse of public resources due to the alleged positioning of his image.
