As part of the actions to reactivate the tourism sector, José Antonio Carvajal Sampedro, Secretary of Tourism of the state of Tlaxcala, met with local artisans to agree on joint actions and teamwork to promote the artisanal and cultural wealth of Tlaxcala.
The state official reiterated that the state government is committed to supporting families that depend on the tourism sector and who have been affected by the pandemic, with actions that allow the reactivation of commercial activities such as the sale of handicrafts.
The Secretary of Tourism highlighted that handicrafts represent one of the main attractions for national and international tourists, as well as being a sample of the entity’s cultural, historical and artistic heritage.
During the meeting, the head of the Secture listened to the concerns and requests of the artisans, who in turn thanked the support of the Ministry of Tourism and the state government.
Finally, José Antonio Carvajal Sampedro congratulated the artisans of the entity, who show through their works the artisanal and cultural wealth that Tlaxcala boasts.
