The governments of Mexico and Thailand spoke for the fourth time in the framework of the Meeting of the Political Consultation Mechanism and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, reported the Ministry of Foreign Relations. For both countries, the main points of their bilateral cooperation are on issues such as tourism, agriculture, health, and the environment. They agree that the essential thing is to promote trade and investment to promote global economic recovery.

They will also discuss the “resilient and sustainable” recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, the achievement of the 2030 agenda and a better future for the region.

The results of the meeting will be sent to the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, a global mechanism for monitoring the 2030 Agenda that meets in July each year in New York.

The increasingly close relationship between Mexico and Thailand, the participation of both countries in international markets such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), will be more consolidated in the Asia-Pacific region.
