The arrival of a Carnival ship is expected on May 1, to start with the weekly tour

Mazatlán, Sinaloa. – After almost a year since tourist cruises were withdrawn due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Carnival Cruise Line shipping companyannounced the restart of operations.

The vice president of the Mexican Association for the Attention of Tourist Cruises, Rafael Rivera López, reported that for May 1 the arrival of the ship Panorama to Mazatlán is scheduled.

He stated that with this they restart the weekly tours of the Mexican Riviera, departing from Long Beach, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta.

“We have good news from Carnival, where it is saying that as of May 1 of this year they begin with the itinerary of the shipping company through the Mexican magazine,” he said.

Rivera López commented that according to the notification from the company, the boat will transport only four thousand people, due to the health emergency, which is half its capacity.

“It is a restriction that they have not to fill the ship, it means that they are going to send them to 50% of capacity, which are very good to restart with the activity of this industry that has been very affected,” he said.

The shipping operator considered that the announcement of the restart of activities at least for the Mexican Rivera is a reflection of health reports, that there has not been so much contamination with Covid-19, for that reason he asked all tourism service providers now a society in general, to continue with the protocols.
