Family violence increases at the beginning of 2021 in Tabasco

The Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP) reported that Tabasco began 2021 with an increase in the number of crimes related to family violence.

In January of this year, 570 events were registered, while in January 2020 there were 558. The figure exceeded 552 of the previous month (December of last year).

Three municipalities concentrate more than 50 percent of the incidents. Center groups 245 research folders started, followed by Nacajuca with 57 and Macuspana with 42.

Cárdenas and Comalcalco have 30 and 32 facts, respectively.

The highest peak in crimes of family violence occurred last year with 681 in the month of August, in the middle of the pandemic.

Other high-impact crimes such as intentional homicide, femicide, kidnapping, cattle rustling, rape and robbery in their different forms were reported down at the start of the year compared to the same period of the previous year.
