Mazatlán, Sinaloa .- Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres met in his office with the new president of the (Mazatlan) Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals AC (AMPI), Rodolfo Carlos Arellano Osorio, with whom he discussed relevant issues for the sector in this municipality.

At the meeting, both the Municipal President and the leader of the real estate professionals highlighted the construction of the aerospace park, which will be annexed to the USMCA Railway Corridor, one of the largest infrastructure projects in North America.

They agreed that both projects, both the Mazatlán-Winnipeg train and the Mzt Aerospace Park, represent a high capital gain for the port.

Another issue raised by Arellano Osorio is that they seek to promote the Real Estate Law project at the state level, to avoid real estate fraud, mainly in the vacation rental segment, in the absence of regularization of real estate advisers.

He added that about 80 percent of real estate agents are informal and uncertified and the need for Sinaloa to enact a real estate licensing requirement
