COBA, QUINTANA ROO.- This has to be one of the most cared and beautiful places on the whole Yucatan Peninsula: Punta Laguna, in the state of Quintana Roo. Its crystal clear waters will make you feel like you are inside a fantasy movie.

Punta laguna is an ecological reserve located at the crossroads of Valladolid, Cobá, Nuevo Xcan, and Chichen Itzá, just 17 kilometers from Chemax.

When you get there, you can tour the entire jungle in the company of an expert guide. You will be surprised to see that this paradise is administered by Maya people communities, who are in charge of putting at your disposal the products that their artisans make, embroidery, woven bracelets, elements carved in wood, honey, among others.

We recommend that you bring your food, drink, sunscreen and against mosquitoes, as well as toilet paper for anything.

Things to do in Punta Laguna

# 1 – Participate in Mayan ceremony

At the beginning of the tour, a Mayan shaman will perform a small ritual like the ones that were done in the past, in which he requests permission from the gods of the underworld and earth to enter their properties; here you can observe a part of the Mayan culture and its traditions.
