Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The proliferation of self-service stores has been remarkable in the port, however, some of them have been dismantling for a few weeks, which has caused surprise among the users of these chain stores, However, the reason has not been precisely the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to the fact that there are many opinions from customers, the Reacción Informativa team visited some of the stores of the Oxxo chain, confirming that some stores have indeed been closing, however, it was ruled out that the reason was due to the few sales due to the health situation.

“Due to the pandemic, no Oxxo closed, some have been dismantled but it was not for that, they are separate circumstances,” said a cashier without wanting to reveal other probable reasons.

Likewise, other workers have said that some of the stores did not have the popularity that was expected, so they have simply relocated, but others have commented that it has been because of the lack of personnel that has motivated the closure of these .

“Others around the place were no longer profitable, they had little staff and there were hours when they did not open, they had to take turns in the morning and in the afternoon and then there was no one else who could work,” said another worker.

Although they did not confirm it in its entirety, there are rumors among the employees of these branches that the mismanagement of some managers has led to the closure of some stores, but it is an isolated case and it is not very common.
