Guanajuato close to 90 thousand infections by COVID-19

There are already 6 thousand 349 deaths in Guanajuato and the crematoriums are full. In 20 days, more than ten thousand infections were added in the entity

With 72 deaths and 639 Guanajuato infected by coronavirus, the expansion of the red traffic light continues for the economic reactivation of the entity.

According to figures from the Institute of Public Health of the State of Guanajuato (ISAPEG), positive cases for the SARS-COV-2 virus now total 89,840 and 6,349 deaths.

In 20 days, 10,434 confirmed cases of the SARS-CoV-2 virus were registered.

So far it is confirmed that the entity will remain in the red until next January 17 and it will be next Friday at a press conference with authorities of Health and Economic Development of the State, when it is determined if there is any modification.

León is the most affected city in Guanajuato, since it adds 29,732 cases of coronavirus and 2,223 deaths, while the crematoria in this town are already full, with a line of bodies waiting to be cremated.

Other cities that register a high rate of cases is Irapuato with 8 thousand 509 infections and 623 deaths and Celaya 7 thousand 968 people positive for the virus and 603 deaths.

Regarding the number of deaths reported this Monday, León registered 20 deaths; Irapuato 14; Celaya, Guanajuato capital and Villagran (4); Purísima Del Rincón and Silao, three deaths in each locality; Acámbaro, Comonfort, Juventino Rosas, Romita, Salamanca and San Luis De La Paz (2),

While Cortazar, Dolores Hidalgo, Pénjamo, Salvatierra, San José Iturbide, San Miguel De Allende and Victoria, reported one death in each locality.

Meanwhile, the confirmed cases in this Monday’s report are 154 Leonese; 68 from Iran, 54 from Salamanca, 37 from Acámbaro, 30 from Salvatierra, 27 from Uriangato, 23 from Valle de Santiago, 21 from the state capital.

19 more cases of Dolorenses, 18 of Silaoenses, 17 of Yuriria, 14 of Pénjamo, 13 of Jaral del Progreso, 12 cases in Moroleón; 11 cases in San Miguel de Allende and Abasolo, 10 cases identified in San Luis de la Paz, Jerécuaro and Romita.

Likewise, 8 cases were reported in Cortazar and San Francisco del Rincón; seven infections in Pueblo Nuevo; five more in San Diego de la Unión, Tarandacuao, Ocampo and Huanímaro; six infections in Cuerámaro.

Villagrán, Purísima del Rincón, Manuel Doblado and Tierra Blanca reported four cases, while Victoria three infected people.

Two cases were confirmed Santiago Maravatío, San José Iturbide and Celaya, and a contagion in the towns of Apaseo el Grande, Atarjea, Coroneo, Doctor Mora, Juventino Rosas and San Felipe.
