“Passengers arriving by boat, plane, or train must be tested up to three days before departure and provide evidence of a negative PCR test result before traveling,” reported the British Embassy in Mexico.

The Embassy added on its website that the type of test required is a PCR test, which collects the genetic material of the virus through a swab and can indicate if the traveler has a COVID-19 infection at the time the sample was taken.

He also asked the citizens of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to stay at home and not travel abroad, unless they have a legally permissible reason to do so, in accordance with current UK restrictions to curb COVID infections. -19.
