Of the 8 hospitals that were enabled to care for covid-19 in Tlaxcala, 4 are on high alert due to over-demand for beds for non-serious patients, as the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) was the one that registered the most saturation at the cut-off of the January 5.

The federal government placed Tlaxcala in the 11th position in terms of general hospitalization, with an average of 48.63 percent. According to the IRAG Network, the Tlaxcalteca capital is about to run out of mechanical ventilators for critically ill patients, since the IMSS clinics located there registered saturation of beds. It is HGZ 1, 100 percent; and Hgsmf 8, at 86 percent.

The HGR “Emilio Sánchez Piedras” is at 60 percent; Nativitas, 48 percent; the General Hospital of Tlaxcala, at 44 percent. Apizaco did not report seriously ill patients.
