A cute little dog moved users of social networks, because for just over a month he was spotted waiting for his owner who died of coronavirus COVID-19 outside the facilities of a hospital located in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

The loyalty shown by the little dog caused the workers of the enclosure to name him “Covito” in reference to “Hachiko”, the famous Japanese dog who waited patiently for his master at a train station for years.

According to local reports, the animal has won the affection of the people who frequent the General Hospital “Solidaridad” in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

The doctors who take care of the patients also noticed the presence of the canine, so as far as possible they give it love and some food.

According to the newspaper “El Mañana”, the dog “Covito” is very docile with people. In addition, when he notices that someone will leave the hospital he runs excitedly to the door as if expecting his owner to come out.

The workers of the place attribute the dog’s reaction precisely to the fact that “Covito” is still waiting for its owner to walk through that door, which unfortunately will not happen because he died from the COVID-19 coronavirus days ago.

Covito lost his master to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently “Covito” sleeps in the vicinity of the hospital; he only has a blanket on top of a piece of cardboard to face these harsh winter days.

Although the presence of the cute little dog in the hospital is due to a sad reason, the medical staff is happy for the noble displays of affection that the animal shows them every time they walk by.
