Mazatlan Mayor asks for a leave of absence to run as a candidate for the governorship of Sinaloa

The mayor will request his leave to participate in the 2021 elections and will leave the Municipal Presidency as of December 15

The Mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, announced through Twitter, his registration as a pre-candidate for governor of Sinaloa.

“I share with you the delivery of my documents for my registration as a candidate for the Governor of Sinaloa for Morena. We are going to continue working to transform Mazatlán and the entire State,” he wrote.

As well as the mayor of Mazatlán, senator Imelda Castro also registered as a pre-candidate for governor of Sinaloa, and senator Rubén Rocha Moya, as well as the militant of Morena, Gerardo Vargas Landeros.
