The president of the Mexican Federation of Sport Fishing, Luis Miguel García, with recognition as an ambassador of the National Sports Commission (Conade), established the importance of this event, not only because it provides a ticket to the Panamerican event in Panama that will take place. from November 23 to 26, but it is also a focus of attention and tourist economic spill.

“Here it is important to say that sport and commercial fishing can coexist without any problem, and in Sinaloa and Mazatlán you can combine marlin, sailfish, dorado and tuna fishing in the same place, and bass fishing. being a predatory fish that does not move in schools, it represents only a low percentage of bycatch, “he explained.

He explained that this tournament of international projection brings together 9 selected teams, originally from Tabasco, Nuevo León, Coahuila, Nayarit, Baja California, Chiapas, Yucatán and Sinaloa.

The president of the Mexican Federation of Sport Fishing recalled that Conapesca in this sense and as a regulatory body plays an important role between both fisheries.
