Coronavirus in Mexico: Municipalities with the most cases of COVID-19

The Mexican Republic is largely experiencing a significant rebound in coronavirus infections.

The number of infections in Mexico by coronavirus remains on the rise, and 20 are the municipalities where 30 percent of confirmed cases are concentrated, Iztapalapa being the most affected town so far with 22,985 infections and 2,345 deaths.

The mayor of Mexico City is followed by Puebla, Gustavo A. Madero, Hermosillo, León, Centro de Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Tlalpan and Álvaro Obregón , the latter two also within the capital of the country, an entity that until now it has been the hardest hit by the pandemic.

In these 20 municipalities, there are 284 thousand 653 confirmed cases of the 929 thousand 392 that were registered in the technical report of November 1, 2020, published by the Federal Ministry of Health.

This same information showed that in Mexico there are already 91 thousand 895 deaths, placing the country as the fourth in the world with the most deaths from covid-19, below the United States, Brazil, and India.
