Mexican Army secures 2 kilos of crystal meth at San Luis Potosí airport

The substance was found inside a welding machine, and the artifact was in a cardboard box.

Agents of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), through the IV Military Region and the 12th Military Zone, secured two kilos of the drug known as crystal at the Ponciano Arriaga International Airport, located in the municipality of Soledad, San Luis Potosí.

Military personnel established at a guard post inside the airport station made tours of the parcel area with the support of a K-9 unit that scored positive on a cardboard box, for which a thorough examination was carried out.

In the package there was a welding machine in poor condition, when it was disassembled, 2.1 kilos of a granulated white powder was detected, with characteristics of methamphetamine ( crystal ).

The insured drug was made available to the authorities of the Attorney General’s Office based in the state of San Luis Potosí.
