Sinaloa.- At the moment it is not contemplated to return to the confinement of families and the closure of shops and companies, because Sinaloa is not in the same situation as other entities in the country that have had a re- outbreak due to COVID – 19 infections in recent weeks, Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel said.

The president admitted that there has been a slight increase in the number of people sick from the coronavirus, however, he shares the opinion of businessmen to keep their businesses open, because here there is a lot of essential economic activity and it cannot be stopped.

He revealed that Sinaloa was already notified by the Health authorities that starting next Monday it will be on a yellow traffic light, however, the invitation to people is to take great care with the three recommendations, hand washing, healthy distance, and the use of antibacterial gel.

In relation to the sanitary measures that the neighboring states of Durango and Chihuahua are applying because they are on a red light, Ordaz Coppel said that he respects their autonomy while monitoring the protocols for tourists arriving in Mazatlán.

“I do not agree that companies are closed, we have to take care of the economy with the appropriate protocols, also in Sinaloa there is a lot of primary economic activity, and a lot of essential activity, and we are already experiencing that,” he said.

Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel was interviewed when leading a heartfelt ceremony on the esplanade of the Government Palace where he hoisted a white flag at full mast, within the framework of Doctor’s Day that has been commemorated every October 23 since 1937 throughout Mexico.

The foregoing is a fair tribute to the Heroes of the 2020 Pandemic, which is the health sector personnel who offered their lives to care for patients infected with COVID 19.

Subsequently, he informed the media that he is taking steps with the Government of the Republic to improve the salary and benefits of health sector personnel.
