Mazatlán, Sin.- From Friday to Monday, in the Pino Suárez municipal market , sales increase up to 20% more than the rest of the days thanks to the fact that every weekend tourists continue to arrive at the port, and therefore, to this food center, a place where you can find an infinity of handicrafts, souvenirs, souvenirs, typical sweets and enjoy the Mazatlan gastronomy.

“From Friday to Monday are very good days, the market is crowded with tourists. They make money in all areas because some are visiting with a relative and come to do the shopping to contribute with the family that is hosting them,” he said Alejandro Ontiveros, secretary of the Union of Tenants.

He said that from 10:00 in the morning the first tourists begin to arrive, but it is from 11 when the flow of visitors increases markedly; from Durango, Coahuila Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Nayarit and some states in the south of the country, he indicated, they come mainly.

Roberto Vega, souvenir seller and also a member of the board of directors, commented that although it is not the best season, tourism has not stopped and online classes have a lot to do with it.

“The flow of tourism has picked up very well, there have been visitors, especially on weekends. In some way technology has helped us because people take classes online, either at the hotel or on the spot. where they are, “he commented.

He added that there are about 50 locals that sell handicrafts and souvenirs, but the bonanza is generally for everyone.

“We have not stopped having that bonanza, sales have increased up to 70% and that is good for everyone,” he added.
