The Ministry of Health, through the General Directorate of Epidemiology (DGE), reported that there have been five positive cases of influenza during the 2020 season, which ends this week, of which 60% corresponds to the type of Influenza A and 40% to Influenza A (H3N2), in the states of Chiapas, Campeche, and Sinaloa.

The distribution by sex shows a 60% predominance in women. The cumulative positivity rate continues at 0.001%.

He reported that by September 25, a total of 589,572 probable cases have been identified, while 5 of them have been confirmed in the laboratory, registering the affected ages: under one year, from 30 to 34, from 35 to 39, of 60 to 64 and over 65 years.

Similarly, it was detailed in the report that when comparing the cases notified to the New Cases Weekly Notification System, it is observed that for Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) they decreased by 55.2%, while those for Pneumonia / Bronchopneumonia had a change of 85.7 % more, this compared to the previous year.

There were two cases of influenza AHN3N2 and one death from it, while influenza type A was three and of these one death. Of these five confirmed cases in the country, one was registered in Sinaloa, which records the death.
