The leader of the Popular Revolutionary Front (FPR) in Miahuatlán de Porfirio Díaz in Oaxaca, Tomás Martínez Pinacho , was assassinated on the afternoon of August 24.
According to local media, the victim had participated in a protest by said organization that same day, in which they demanded resources for public works.
According to preliminary information, a group of heavily armed men opened fire on Martínez Pinacho when he was in a taqueria called “Los Primos” in the municipality of Ánimas Trujano , while a companion was seriously injured.
After the attack, the lifeless body of the victim was prostrated in a business chair.
Elements of the Municipal Police arrived at the scene of the events and cordoned off, subsequently, the body was removed.
Emergency services were presented to the scene, however, the man no longer had vital signs.
