This demonstration has affected the traffic in one of the main accesses to the city of Oaxaca of those who come from the Central Valleys, Sierra Sur, and the Coast.

Internal problems in that municipality have led motorists to find alternative routes to pass through that area.

They denounce a political imposition by municipal authorities, against the constitutional rights of citizens to freely choose their municipal authorities.

A group of residents of the municipality of San Antonio de la Cal, Oaxaca , threw garbage on a road to denounce a political imposition by municipal authorities, against the constitutional rights of citizens to freely choose their municipal authorities.

The protesters also maintain a blockade from the crossing of federal highway 175 to the Coast that leads to the airport, where they intend to burn waste along with the tires of a collection truck.

They question a resolution issued by a judge of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power (TEPJ) based in Xalapa, Veracruz,  which determined to annul the election of municipal authorities and gender so that the acting municipal president would be removed.

Before the resolution, the state government appointed a provisional administrator until the plenary session of the General Council of the State Electoral Institute and Citizen Participation of Oaxaca ( IEEPCO ), called new elections.

However, the residents and the group of the dismissed mayor protested and demanded that extraordinary elections be called immediately so that they can freely elect their mayor.

In their claim, they demand that the appointed provisional administrator appears before the town assembly, as is the custom, and render an account of the destination of the resources that he has exercised, why there is evidence of mismanagement.

Meanwhile, José Toledo, representative of the General Secretariat of Government in the dialogue tables with the inhabitants, affirmed that he is working with officials of the local electoral body on the date and way in which the extraordinary election can be carried out, but this will have to be until the contingency for covid-19 passes.

While a group of students from the Normal Bilingual and Intercultural School of Oaxaca (ENBIO) once again blocked streets and hijacked public transport buses to demand that they take the new entry exam in person, because they argue that they do not have computers, electronic devices or internet network.

Meanwhile, the representative of the SEP in Oaxaca, Alberto Arellanes Jarquín, said that the disrupting group were not normal students but rather a group of joints.
