Ricardo Cortés, general director of Health Promotion, reported that six states remain in red and for the first time an entity is in yellow

The Ministry of Health presented this Friday the new risk traffic light for the states in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic that will come into force as of next Monday.

The agency announced that six states will remain in red, while Sinaloa continues in orange.

Ricardo Cortés, general director of Health Promotion, recalled that the color red represents a high incidence and is of maximum risk.

The states that are in red are Baja California Sur, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Colima, Hidalgo and Aguascalientes.

The official stressed that most states are in orange, where the possibility of infections remains high.

“The possibility of contagion is high, the incidence is also high, the burden of the disease, so you have to be careful when going to work,” he said.

And finally, for the first time since the traffic light started , a state is in yellow , which is the state of Campeche.

“It is a medium or moderate risk, that means that there is hope, because this epidemic is reaching levels where we are descending the epidemic curve,” said Ricardo Cortés.
