Queretaro obtains global security seal from the WTTC

With this seal, the entity joins the Mexican destinations that already have the distinctive, such as Baja California Sur, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Tabasco, Tamaulipas and Yucatán, among others.

Querétaro, Qro. Querataro obtained the certificate with the Global Security Seal, as a safe destination for national and international tourism, issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council ( WTTC ).

The accreditation derived from full compliance with the health protocols to operate around the emergency generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, confirmed the governor, Francisco Domínguez Servién.

The approval of the seal represents a recognition of the tourist health protocols that are implemented in the entity, which are developed under the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), said the secretary of Tourism, Hugo Burgos García .

“In recognition of the tourist health protocols that we apply, and which are standardized with the WHO and UNWTO guidelines . In this way, our state is positioned before the international market, as a destination where tourists can live safe experiences ”, he explained through his social networks.

The president of WTTC , Gloria Guevara Manzo , pointed out that in the face of the health emergency caused by Covid-19 , it is necessary to act responsibly at all times; In addition to that – she added – it is time to join efforts between government authorities and representatives of the private sector, to make a common front that allows tourism to promote into the new normal, as it is one of the main engines of the country’s economy.
