Reopening of yachts and catamarans in Mazatlan

Divers are seen cleaning vessels on the navigation channel

Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- Today there will be a meeting at the Port Captaincy to announce when the fishing and recreational boats will begin work, as reported by the rental workers of the catamaran and yacht service.

When making a tour of the rental businesses, it was possible to talk with some managers or security guards of the place who reported that they could also resume activities on July 1, waiting for the response from the Harbor Master for their authorization.

They stressed that apparently the catamaran businesses will carry between 30 and 40 people in the boats, in addition to taking the pertinent measures such as the use of mouth covers, antibacterial gel, and healthy distance.

The sport fishing and yacht services will also have its safety protocols.

Faced with a possible reopening of these businesses, it was found that the owners of the boats are already starting the engines, as well as divers who are removing the shells that developed the hull of the boats.

The same workers argued that the cleaning work in the water is cheaper than taking out the packaging to protect it, since, for 100,000 pesos that would be worth protecting it without cleaning and operations somewhere, only 500 pesos are being applied to clean the shell inside the Water.
