A healthy distance will be required and the number of people who may be in each area will be reduced.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres assured that the tentative date to reopen the tourist activity and the beaches of Mazatlán for July 1 is maintained, since the rebound in the number of cases released on the 23 of June does not correspond to the real line, but they are laggard patients who accumulated and got on the platform in a single day.

However, he clarified that in the new normal, things will no longer be the same as they were before the coronavirus pandemic, but there will be protocols that will have to be followed.

Among the measures that will be taken, he announced that on the beaches the number of people who may be in each area will be limited and the healthy distance of one and a half meters will be required.

We are already prepared for the opening of beaches and the tourism sector, there are going to be protocols, we are going to live a new normality, things are no longer going to be as they were before, we must do a chip change.

He said that the 103 cases reported on June 23 correspond to laggard patients who had not been on the platform.

People are left behind, who do not upload them to the platform, on weekends they review it and upload it together, but the reality is that they do not coincide with the real line, today or tomorrow they fall into their real status, they do not upload it, they wait and fall behind and all together they raise them and it seems that there was growth.

He insisted that Mazatlan‘s tourist activity could open on July 1 and that it only remains to discuss it with the state Tourism Secretariat to make it official.
