The State Institute of Civil Protection declared itself under surveillance for a zone of instability in the Pacific Ocean.

According to the report of the state agency, the phenomenon has a 20 percent probability of cyclonic development in the next 48 hours and 70 percent in 5 days.

This is located 605 kilometers south southwest of the mouth of the Sushiate River, border between Mexico and Guatemala; the forecast is a slow westward shift.
