Escuinapa, Sinaloa (May 13, 2020).- In the middle of the economic crisis originated by the Covid-19 global pandemic, which has generated a considerable fall in the whole sector, the merchants of the Escuinapa municipality expect that the mango season will leave them good profits.
Francisco Aguilera Rojo, leader of the tenants of the municipal market “Miguel Hidalgo”, and who is one of the merchants most affected by the pandemic, recognized that the mango production season always brings economic flow to the community.
He stressed that currently, mango production is a hope for the reactivation of their economy, as the sales in their stores is currently pretty low.
He also reiterated that the crisis has been reflected in the sales that merchants have on a daily basis since people only consume the essentials.
It should be noted that the mango production season generates an approximate of 10 thousand direct jobs in the municipality of Escuinapa, ranging from day laborers, who carry out work on the plots, to workers in packing plants and industries.
