Servicio Meteorológico Nacional, the official source of the Government of Mexico, issues the following notice:

VERY STRONG POINT RAINS, ACCOMPANIED BY ELECTRIC SHOCK, HAIL AND STRONG WIND GUSTS IN TAMAULIPAS, SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, PUEBLA AND VERACRUZ

This day, the cold front No. 57 will interact with a low-pressure channel extended in the east of the country, which will cause very heavy occasional rains accompanied by electric shocks, strong gusts of wind and possible hail fall in Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Puebla and Veracruz; in addition to gusts of wind from 50 to 60 km / h in Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Durango, Zacatecas, and San Luis Potosí. In the afternoon, low-pressure channels over the center of the national territory and in the Yucatan Peninsula, associated with height divergence, will increase the probability of rain with electric shocks, strong winds and possible hail fall in the center of the country, including the Valley of Mexico. Temperatures above 35 ° C are also expected in 28 entities of the country, and may exceed 45 ° C in Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, and Yucatan.

In surveillance, a low pressure zone in the Pacific Ocean, currently with an 80% probability of cyclonic development in 48 hours, was located  last night  1,280 km south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, BCS, and for the moment,  it does not represent a risk for Mexico .

In addition , a deep-sea event will prevail with waves 1.2 to 2.1 meters high (4 to 7 feet), from the coast of Chiapas to Jalisco, gradually decreasing during the night (information from SEMAR).

Heavy rains with very strong points (50 to 75 liters per square meter): Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Puebla and Veracruz.
Intervals of showers with punctual heavy rains (25 to 50 liters per square meter):  Nuevo León, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Yucatan.
