Grupo Vidanta fires 50 employees without prior notice

461

At least 50 workers from Grupo Vidanta, located in the municipality of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, were dismissed without prior notice and without an explanation.

The group of people, mostly inhabitants of Puerto Vallarta who move daily to the neighboring municipality, have contacted the local authorities to file their complaints regarding this situation.

The fact is that the workers are only looking for an explanation and that their labor guarantees are respected, or at least remain with Social Security in the face of the coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19).

Cases like this have been replicated in different parts of the city, as hotels have closed their doors in order to follow the federal and state governments’ guidelines to avoid the contagion.
