Mazatlán is known for its paradisiacal beaches, warm climate, and delicious gastronomy, but above all, for the great natural wealth, it houses, in which all kinds of natural phenomena occur, one of them is Bioluminescence.

When the months of March and April arrive, the beaches of Mazatlán are illuminated with this natural effect called bioluminescence, which can be seen at night when the waves burst in the dark and there are flashes of blue lights that contrast with the black of the night. .

This effect is caused by small microscopic algae in the water that hit the beach, it is a natural phenomenon that occurs in very few beaches in the world and we are fortunate that our beautiful Mazatlán is one of them.

If you are visiting the port these days, be sure to visit the boardwalk to observe this natural wonder, which has been seen since March 7 at nightfall in Playa Brujas and Playa Norte.
