Hi Editor … I noticed that today’s report of the first confirmed COVID-19 case in Yucatan has a curious FUN twist…

Current reports from across ALL of Mexico identify only 26 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections … AND ALL OF THEM WERE TRAVELERS – bringing the virus back from abroad …

NOT ONE “Community Contact” case inside Mexico.

THIS IS EXCITING NEWS .. because it means those 26 travelers from abroad, were ALL QUARANTINED. … meaning they had very little chance to transmit the SARS-CoV-2 virus !!

Unlike the USA, where as recently as just one week ago … people flying into Atlanta from infected South Korea were never stopped, never questioned, just allowed to wander around the USA.

The fact that Mexican officials caught ALL 26 cases of travelers returning with COVID-19, means … maybe … we can stop it “at the border” … “at the airport” … and minimize it’s spreading by RAPID EARLY TESTING… Testing that was NOT available in the USA.

The Mexican Health officials are literally ALL OVER this … well prepared … and taking good appropriate actions…. while the US public health experts remained in the dark for almost a month … with no accurate testing available… and US officials still complain they do not know how many COVID-19 confirmed positive patients there are because the US private labs are keeping their test data “secret”…

?

… withholding the results from officials.

So … Let’s hope that the prepared Mexican approaches … work !

?

Stay well … Stay informed … Stay safe…
