Los Cabos, Baja California Sur (BCS ). In October, the “IV Meeting of Coordinators of the Urban Birds Program Los Cabos 2020” will be held, an event that will bring together representatives from more than 70 cities in Mexico and 9 countries of the world, which will be promoted by the Autonomous University of Baja Southern California (UABCS ).

Therefore, in days ago, a meeting was held between executives of the University and businessmen of the Coordinating Council of Los Cabos, of the Tourism Trust of Los Cabos and members of the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (Conanp).

It is the largest bird watching event in Latin America, bringing together leaders in environmental education who will share their knowledge in the field, through conferences, workshops, talks, and exhibitions.

“Part of the University Social Responsibility is to promote activities that help the preservation and conservation of the natural environment. Therefore, we believe that birdlife can have a positive impact on the municipality, ”said UABCS Secretary-General Miguel Ojeda Ruiz de la Peña .

Meanwhile, the executive president of the Los Cabos Coordinating Council (CCC), Julio Castillo Gómez; David Rojo de Semilla de Pride and each of the representatives of the agencies agreed to promote bird tourism as a tourist offer at the destination.

Finally, the meeting was attended by the head of the Academic Extension of the UABCS in Los Cabos, Juan de Jesús Pérez Agúndez and the head of research and Training.
