Inauguration of the new Mazatlan General Hospital

MAZATLÁN.- The General Hospital “Doctor Martiniano Carvajal” is premiering as of this day.

State authorities said it is a world-class hospital that will have the capacity to serve nearly 300,000 users in the south of the state.

It was an afternoon that the Governor of Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, accompanied by state and municipal officials headed by Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres reported that this new hospital has 120 overnight beds and 82 daybeds

This new building to take care of and attend to the health problems of the Sinaloans, with pediatric gynecology, general surgery, internal medicine, and neonatology.

It also has a total of 31 offices, 28 of them specialty and 3 more for the emergency department. A vaccine cubicle, colposcopy area, geriatrics, and an inhalation, radiology, elastography-densitometry, ultrasonography and tomography unit are also enabled.

Quirino Ordaz added that there is a clinical analysis laboratory, electrocardiography cabinet, endoscopy unit with a minor procedures room, blood transfusion center, pathology, operating rooms, that is, everything that citizens need to take care of their health and prevent diseases

In a previous tour it was possible to appreciate that the medical records, among other documentation, are already being accommodated in the areas that correspond to them, even worse still to define the workplace of the administrative staff.
