Mocorito, Sinaloa.- When inaugurating the Mocorito 2020 Sunflower Field, the secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, Óscar Pérez Barros, said that with this strategy together with the Carnival, it is expected to exceed 60 thousand visitors for the Magic Town.

The state official said that Mocorito is being an example for other municipalities that already take up these strategies and has also become one of the favorite destinations of the “Traveling Pure Sinaloa” program, and that encourages the expectation of having more visits than the 55 thousand of the last year.

“This type of strategies, but to join it with Carnival, then Holy Week, the program is enriched more, so that more people and more Sinaloenses and other states visit the Magic Town of Mocorito, and the project that is brought from the Los Museum Tigers of the North ”.

For his part, the municipal president, Jesús Guillermo Galindo Castro, explained that on this occasion the Sunflower Field was sown in two stages, so that a month that was in operation last year, is intended to increase to a month and a half or two months

“I think that the experience we had last year as a government, because it gave us the opportunity to improve what the sunflower field is and, above all, the strategy of how to bring more tourists and visitors to Mocorito Pueblo Mágico, this time we will do it in stages ”.

He added that they are prepared in logistics to attend to an extraordinary number of visitors, however, they need more accommodation spaces that are already being promoted together with the Secretary of Economic Development, Javier Lizárraga Mercado.

At the time of the ribbon cut of the sunflower field, there were already dozens of visitors waiting to enter to take the photographs of the memory.
