The closure of the superhighway sector was officially declared by the Federal Police due to the snowfall recorded in the area.

Around 20:00 hours, the closure of the road was announced at the points of Coscomate, Llano Grande and Durango, this as a safety measure in the freezing conditions on the pavement.

Authorities urge those who are forced to use the freeways to slow down and meet road signs.

The vehicular traffic on the Mazatlan-Durango Highway has been closed due to snowfall that brought the fifth winter storm of the season, reported on its Twitter Roads and Federal Bridges of Fees, Services and Related (Capufe).
